Uggh, it is so freaking hot outside. Summer might mean fewer hours doing school stuff, but it definitely doesn't mean any kind of weather that's even maybe tolerable. Dad just lies around and complains about the heat, an' when she's not working Mom sits around with a bowl of ice cream an' a book an' I don't think either of them would move for anything less than a national disaster. Not that I c'n blame them - even with my window open an' a fan on high, my room feels like an oven. No way in hell I'm gonna move for anything less than a disaster either.

Though maybe f'I went to the library it'd be cooler. Anybody got any suggestions on how not t'melt?

So I guess I should start updating this thing or something. I mean, there's not that much to update - practice's practice an' all. Still seems weird that the third years're gonna be leaving really soon... but I guess that's just what happens. Besides, the high school's not on another planet or anything. We'll still see 'em an' all. ~~As long as the rest of us survive the new captain.~~

Mom keeps... dropping hints, like she thinks I should get a job or something. I dunno about that - I mean, I got enough stuff to do with homework an' practice ~~an' Dad~~ an' stuff. Guess I could... look around or something. ~~Or at least pretend to.~~ Maybe it'd make her happy.

... Guess that's really all f'r now.
